Beale Racing - Madison International Speedway Triple Crown Challenge
Beale Racing returned to John Beale's home track Madison International Speedway. John raced in his favorite Pathfinder chassis with the Wegner Automotive LS 5.3 engine. Casey ran the brand new #47 Chase Motorsports Pathfinder chassis with Hamner Racing engine built for Slinger Speedway races.
Casey's car was fast out of the gate. Fast time went to Casey with a time of 17.602 seconds. John qualified p10 with a time of 17.885 seconds. Casey finished p2 in Heat #2 while John finished p3 after battling with Johnny Sauter in Heat #3.
Starting the current points leader of the 2018 NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES on the pole of the 50 lap feature at MIS made for a difficult race for all competitors to pull off a win. Johnny Sauter dashed ahead of the pack quickly. An early caution happened when Casey Johnson spun in turn 1 of the 5th lap. The officials did not see anyone give him any help and no competitor tapped out.
Casey restarted from the back and moved quickly back through the field. John Beale finished in 7th place just behind Casey Johnson in 6th. The feature was won by Johnny Sauter followed by Austin Nason, Paul Schafer Jr, Chris Weinkauf, and Jason Weinkauf.
The shop is full of cars as we prepare for the next week of testing and racing. Casey Johnson will be racing at Wisconsin International Raceway on Thursday. John Beale and Casey will return to the track on Saturday at Marshfield Motor Speedway for the TUNDRA Super Late Models Race #2.
