MIS Season Opener was a scorcher!

Thirteen hours of taking photographs ended quickly. The warm and humid environment made for a slick track and short tempers on the track. Overall the changes in the qualifying/points/money will make for better racing. Too bad the heat and sun kept the fans away. Friday Night is only four more days. Come out for Ladies Night where all Ladies get free admission.

Husband, Father, Photographer, Race Director, State Worker: June Insanity!

The next four weeks will be one of the busiest times of the year for me.  I'll be photographing Four races and one tractor pull at The Madison International Speedway, The Southwest Wisconsin Airfest, Swiss Colony Howie Lettow Memorial at The Milwaukee Mile, Madison Marathon for Brightroom Photography, and the Wisconsin Off-Road Series Battle of CamRock. On top of all this Photography work I'm the race director for one of the largest Mountain Bike Races in the Midwest on Father's Day!

The Wisconsin Off-Road Series Battle of CamRock presented by Trek Stores of Madison is an event put on by the Capital Off-Road Pathfinders (IMBA Chapter). I'm the President of this army of volunteers who build and maintain the majority of off-road mountain bike trails in Dane County. I'm also the Race Director for the event.  I've spent months planning for the 1000 some individuals that will travel from throughout the midwest to race at Dane County Park's CamRock Park. I'm in need of volunteers for this Father's Day event. Contact me at thomasharron@gmail.com if you or your group can help volunteer.

It's going to be a crazy time with all these activities on top of the needs of the Teams and Management at MIS. I'm currently designing, event posters, paper ads, fan cards, and setting up Season Pass directories. I have also been asked to shoot for one of the national racing publications so I have my fingers crossed that the images make the cut.

A special Thank You to my Wife Jenny and Son Tyler for supporting me on my dreams of being a photographer and a crazy MTB guy!
